MOOG

You gotta watch this video clip from the Bob Moog documentary ("Moog," 2004). Bob Moog, Rick Wakeman, and Bernie Worrell. Hilarious :)

Albums I'm currently into

Albums I'm currently into (in other words: albums I haven't listened to in years and have recently rekindled my obsession):

Chicago Transit Authority (Chicago)
Favorite tracks: "Questions 67 & 68," "Listen," "Poem 58," "Introduction"
*In my opinion, Chicago's best album. Terry Kath is very much the greatest asset of this album.

Crystal Ball (Styx)

Favorite tracks: "Crystal Ball," "Shooz," "Put Me On"
Tommy Shaw's first album with Styx! Great sound; totally underrated album.

NYE 2009: Kansas & Night Ranger

I went to see Kansas and Night Ranger play at the Treasure Island Casino in Red Wing, Minnesota on New Years Eve. Both bands put on such great shows! I'm continuously blown away by Steve Walsh's voice and keyboard skills. I truly believe he is one of the most underappreciated musicians. "Icarus Borne on Wings of Steel" was definitely the highlight for me. It was a blast seeing Night Ranger again too. Jack Blades and Brad Gillis are just as energetic and bubbly as ever! Highlights were "Don't Tell Me You Love Me" and "When You Close Your Eyes." Cheers to a happy new year!
