Album I'm currently into

Tormato (Yes)

If you are able, I suggest looking into a copy of the album that includes the bonus tracks so that you can hear Jon Anderson's accapella piece "Days." Beautiful.

Not the best Yes album, but for any Yes fan, it's a must! You can definitely hear the link between their early progressive sound and their later poppish stuff in this album. Yay for Yes!

Featured absolutely random but awesome song

"Go" by Asia

Whythis song/Asia is awesome:

1. This is the ultimate super-group. King Crimson meets The Buggles meets Emerson Lake and Palmer meets Yes. Sorry, Damn Yankees; I think Asia might take the lead in this one.
2. Carl Palmer's drum stick flips.
3. Who doesn't like ambiguous sci-fi music video concepts?

Featured absolutely random but awesome song

"Talk to Ya Later"
by The Tubes

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9dF2WcrdxdQ

Why this song/The Tubes is awesome:
Steve Lukather co-wrote the song and also played the guitar solo on the recording.
Bill Champlin from Chicago sang back-up vocals.
Bill Spooner and Prairie Prince are pretty cool.
I am proud to admit that The Tubes are definitely my guilty pleasure.

David Lee Roth picture of the week!

Featured absolutely random but awesome song

"When the Heart Rules the Mind" by GTR

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iy17kF9myDo

Why this song/GTR is awesome:
  1. Steve Howe. Yes. Enough said.
  2. No keyboard synths, just guitar-synths. That's bad-ass.
  3. Steve Hackett. Genesis. Enough said.
  4. Geoff Downes produced their album. Asia. Enough said.
